Thomas Jeckyll, made by Gillows of Lancaster.
Aesthetic Movement. A rare set of ten oak dining chairs.
This set are identical to the chairs Jeckyll designed for the industrialist Edward Green and his wife Mary for their home, The Old Hall, Heath, Yorkshire. UK in the 1870s. The only difference is this set has different carved details to the head rests.
Note: Six are shown in the main picture but there are ten altogether.
