Shapland and Petter. An Arts and Crafts oak bookcase of superior quality with flaring cornice

An Arts and Crafts oak bookcase by Shapland and Petter of superior quality with flaring cornice and good stylised floral work to the stain glass doors with impressive copper elongated vertical strap hinges to the lower panelled doors and conforming stylised copper handles. The whole stood on square pad feet with shaped brackets above and shaped details to the lower sides. Height 86", Width of cornice 46 1/2", Depth of base 18 1/2". Circa 1900.
