Leonard Wyburd for Liberty and Co. A rare Liberty and Co Arts and Crafts oak sideboard

A rare Liberty and Co Arts and Crafts oak sideboard designed by Leonard Wyburd. With a hand formed copper motto to the top which reads :- 'READ NOT TO BELIEVE and TAKE FOR GRANTED BUT TO WEIGH and CONSIDER'. The most fantastic metalwork to the lower left hand door and stylised leaded glass to the upper right hand door with pierced arches to the upper centre section. An array of shelves for books or display with the lowest shelf breaking forward. Height 75", Width 72", Depth at the base 14", Depth at the top shelf 10". Circa 1895.
