Guild of Handicraft. An Arts and Crafts patinated copper cigar box

POA

Guild of Handicraft. An Arts and Crafts patinated copper cigar box. With an enamel of a lakeside scene to the centre and trees to the sides probably made by Charles Fleetwood Varley when he was working at the Guild of Handicraft between 1900 and 1910, certainly in his particular style. The base has an older cigar box base with a noval advert for La Perla del Oriente cigars. Carl Ingenohl operated cigar manufacturing companies from the 1870's in both the Philippines and Hong Kong under the trade name La Perla del Oriente. Restoration to four feet, they are original and at some point they have been braized back into place. The enamel has slight damage to the edge of the right side in the middle.
