George Montague Ellwood (1875-1955) for J.S. Henry, an oak writing desk with sloping pen compartment flanked by stylised inlaid decoration depicting a pair of Quills in ink pots, the inlays of fruitwoods and copper. Fold out divided letter compartments to each upper side, an extended writing area with a pair of drawers below including open bookcases to each side. The brass handles are after a design by C.F.A. Voysey who also designed for J.S. Henry.
