Ernest Gimson. A Cotswold School coalbox

A Cotswold School coalbox by Ernest Gimson with chip carving and exposed tennons. The handle is almost identical to oak dresser's Gimson designed. This is a rare and early example of Gimsons work. Height 20", Width 18" Depth 13" ( handle protrudes another 2"). Circa 1890.
