Bruce Talbert for Gillows, Aesthetic Movement Walnut Octagonal Table #2

Price on Application

This item is price on application due to its rarity and importance.

Bruce Talbert for Gillows. A walnut octagonal table aligned to the Aesthetic Movement (1860–1890), c.1880. The form follows Talbert’s characteristic use of architectural lightness, geometric clarity and repeated turning details. The last image is of a line drawing of a known Bruce Talbert desk design; we can see the same details in the turnings on the legs and stretchers, particularly the through joints of the stretchers, which unite with and follow through the legs.
