An Arts and Crafts oak sideboard designed by Ernest Archibald Taylor for Wylie and Lochhead with superb stylised Glasgow Roses to each lead glass door, flaring cornice with shaped support brackets, serving area below, tremendous stylised carved Glasgow Roses to all 4 doors, with superb hand formed copper handles and hinges which were originally silver plated but had been polished through to the brass in many places which I have now had re-silvered. Another example typical of his stunning exhibition work. Height 6', Width of cornice 7', Depth of cornice 29 1/2". Circa 1900.
