A rare Arts and Crafts Glasgow school oak grandfather clock with inlaid pewter motto to the top 'TIME FLIES'. The copper clock face with applied pewter Roman numerals with hand formed floral details inset with colourful enamel flower heads, the face flanked by twisted upright columns. A stain glass door opening to reveal a storage cupboard below, the door inlaid with pewter stylised floral details. The A frame with side columns extending down through the lowest shelf finishing into square shaped feet with sweeping arch to the base centred by an extended detail. Possibly designed by E A Taylor. Height 79" Depth 14" Width at feet 26". Circa 1900.
