Two Anglo-japanese sidechair's. Attributed to H W Bately Both probably for Collinson and Lock Right. A well balanced chair with a floral fret work panel to the back flanked by fine turnings. Left. A similar chair particularly from below the seat yet more simple in it's design with only two stretchers to the front as oppose to three. (This has been re-caned, copying the original work). Circa 1870's.
