C F A Voysey, attributed. Possibly designed for the offices for the Essex and Suffolk Equitable Insurance Society. A superb quality Arts and Crafts long and narrow hall or library table made from quarter sawn oak. The tapering legs with turned balls as feet which are turned from the leg and an integral part of the design. The very high quality and design of this table make it a firm attribution to Voysey who used integrated ball feet on a number of designs. See the last period image of a similar table designed by Voysey in 1906 for the offices of the Essex and Suffolk Equitable Insurance Society.
