Bruce Talbert for Gillow & Co of Lancaster. An Aesthetic Movement Walnut and Boxwood Ottoman with an upholstered seat and lift-up lid with a large storage area below. Gilded highlights throughout and finely carved floral decoration into boxwood panels. The left panel has Raspberries, Pine Cones, and Strawberries, the centre panel has Poppies, and the right panel has Grapes on the vine with identical carved panels to the back. With tramline details to the sides and a turned gallery to the base, stood on short turned legs with the original inset brass castors.
