POA
A pair of good quality Aesthetic movement come Arts & Crafts solid oak dining tables with wonderful quarter sawn tiger grain throughout the oak on square legs with chamfered edges. They are designed to be used as two separate dining tables or when required joined together to make a long extensive dining or conference table.
When joined, as they are shown in the images they will comfortably seat up to fourteen people. They slide and join together seamlessly with dowels and holes (see last image). Also, there are two slides at the end of each table (two shown in image three and one shown in the last image) the slides sit neatly inside the tabletop and can pullout / pull-out to rest a central leaf on making the entire table even longer and will then comfortably seat up to 18 or even 20 people. The original central oak leaf I am afraid has been lost many years ago, but they don't actually need it as they fit together perfectly well without it. But if you do need it to seat 18-20 people from time to time then we can make a replacement center leaf from period oak in our own workshops and stain and polish it to match for you at cost to us of £550.
The tables can also be used as two separate dining or even work tables that would both comfortably seat eight.
The tables are extra deep at 4 foot 6 inches deep, so there is lots of room in the middle for serving dishes and center pieces etc., it is even wide enough to fit two children side by side at each end.
Measurements: - Each table measures identical at length 7 feet 5 inches, depth 4' 6". (Image 3 is an optical illusion they are exactly the same measurements).
Length joined together: - 14 feet 10 inches, width 4' 6".
Further length can be added if required with a new leaf made to your desired measurements.
They are probably made by Gillows of Lancaster, such good quality one could dance on them!
